House Rules

Pachamama Permaculture
WWOOFer Rules and Guidelines.

Welcome to our farm. We hope you enjoy your stay.
As a volunteer we would like to make you aware of the rules and expectations while you are here.
Here at Pachamama Permaculture we have much to do. We expect all volunteers to work a minimum of 4 hours each day. For your four hours of work you will receive a place to set up a tent, access to water, an outdoor composting toilet, one meal, and a shower every other day. If you wish to work 6 hours then a second meal will be provided, 8 hours of work will earn a third meal.
In addition to assigned projects there will be daily chores such as meal prep and cleanup, feeding the animals and other housekeeping and upkeep needs.
The House
The house is a private home. Access to the kitchen area of the home is allowed during meal prep, cleanup and chores that require use of the kitchen. Please remove your shoes while in the house.
Showers are to be scheduled in advance and are to be taken in the afternoon between 4 and 6 pm. Please provide your own toiletries and ensure your soaps are environmentally friendly as we have gray water systems. Also limit you total time in the bathroom to 15 minutes. The front door to the house is a private entrance, please use the backdoor at all times to enter our home. Please be mindful and respectful of our home, property and our personal privacy.
Gates
All gates that have been opened must be closed.
Meals
We like to keep our meals simple. Rice, beans and potatoes are staple foods, you may also expect beef as a common ingredient as we have easy access to red meat. No accommodations are made for vegetarians or vegans. Meals include the food, water, coffee or tea. Alcoholic beverages are not included with the evening meal but are allowed in moderation.
Breakfast is 8:00 am to 9:00 am. This includes preparation, meal time and cleanup.
Lunch is between 12 noon and 1:00 pm.
Dinner is between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The house is off limits from 7:00 pm to 8:00 am. If you arrive late to a meal there may or may not be food.
Laundry
We have cold water and buckets available outdoors and a clothes line to hang and dry. Access to our laundry facilities are not available.
Internet and Phone
We do not provide internet or phone service. Cell phones and air cards do generally work here depending on your provider.
Duration of your stay
The length of your stay will be discussed upon arrival and is negotiable depending on your skill set and the Farm's needs. We reserve the right to terminate your stay without notice should the need arrive. As well you may do the same.
Quiet Time
The hours of 9:00 pm to 7:00 am are quiet time. This means no music or otherwise loud or peace disturbing activity is allowed during these hours.
Please be aware that we have dogs protecting the livestock on the property and they do their job primarily at night. This means they are allowed to roam the property and do their job, this includes barking. If you are a light sleeper please consider ear plugs.
